tomm
Windows Anniversary update is getting finalized before it’s public launch. Windows Anniversary update for existing Windows 10 Device (PC+Mobile) will be released on 2nd August. As reported by us earlier, Windows 10 Build 14390 was not the RTM Build which will be released on 2nd August. A new report from a reliable source claims that Windows 10 Build 14393 would be the RTM Build. Microsoft will sign off Windows 10 Build 14393 as Anniversary Update RTM release after sending it to Windows Insiders in a few days or probably this week. For those who don’t know, Windows Anniversary update codenamed Windows Redstone will bring bunch of new features such as Cortana improvements, Windows Continuum Improvements, Extension Support on Microsoft Edge and much more. We will update you once we get more information about Windows Anniversary Update RTM Build. Is there any feature missing in Windows Anniversary that you have expected from Microsoft? Let us discuss in the comments below. Via: BuildFeed Source: CoreInsiderProg Article source
mikie
Lady in charge said they might experiment with service pact type build updates with insiders rather than full iso build updates. Would suspect that might be soon.
Karlston
Woody Leonhard's take... Though the beta released yesterday has a significant, known bug, build 14393 will likely be RTM Yesterday Microsoft released yet another beta test of Windows 10 version 1607, the Anniversary Update scheduled for Aug. 2. Build 14393.0.rs1_release.160715-161 fits the pattern for final RTM Win10 builds, though it has a significant, acknowledged bug. According to Dona Sarkar's official announcement, which looks like a Cliff Notes version of a build release: We are aware of certain cases in which Surface Books and Surface Pro 4's may bugcheck (bluescreen) due to a camera driver issue. An updated driver will roll-out via Windows Update soon that will fix this. Brad Sams at Thurrott.com suggests treating the bug with care: Once the driver is released, this should fix the issue but for now, it's not worth upgrading from 14390 as this will impact the stability of the install for those users. Those of you who have been struggling with Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 bugs since their original release may no doubt take the advice in stride. I've heard that Microsoft has since compiled new build 14394, which has not been widely distributed. Some take that as an indication that 14393 will not become the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Many have forgotten the genesis of version 1511 build 10586. Microsoft actually compiled a build 10587 but never distributed it to the outside world. Instead, 10586 rolled out on release day, and it was immediately accompanied by a Cumulative Update -- CU No. 1, in fact -- that brought the build number up to 10586.3. It's anybody's guess whether Microsoft will use the same sleight of hand for the release of version 1607. Last time it worked, although some users were confused for a while. I'd be willing to bet at this point that build 14393 will likely be RTM. Source: Is Windows 10 beta build 14393 the final Windows 10 Anniversary Update? steven36
Insider testers not worked wonders for them yet ..Slow ring users will find a slew of bugs in it that was never found by inside testers Most windows 10 updates in the slow ring never adds any new features.. Only most of the updates includes quality improvements and security fixes. After they release a new build of windows 10 to the general public they do updates to get the bugs out of the release tell they release a new build of windows 10 a few months latter with a new set of bugs, so it want never be 100% stable ,just slow ring is more stable ..Its like insider builds are alpha and slow ring is final beta . Windows XP , Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 got years of stability fixes with little or no change .This want be happening in Windows 10, unless they decide to cut our free upgrades out, there will be no nice stable LTS release . This will make the 3rd major release in a little over one year this is as many as XP had in 12 years . Microsoft said there be at lest 2 major releases every year tell they decide to make something else .Once they get too 4 major releases it will have more than XP did in like a year and a half . For some odd reason they kind of copied Mac OS 10 updates but they have way more updates than MAC OS even . It beats me why they want to copy a OS that don't have much marketshare. So there update idea was not even original. It makes sense for Apple to make Mac OSX so developers can work on IOS there phone OS .But Microsoft made Windows 10 on a theory that they could sell windows phones so it was made based on a dead idea already and its just almost a year old. If you're not a PC geek or beta tester this is just more trouble than its worth . Ask the US army witch is having issues with there software not working .So if this happening to early business adapters its just going to get worse and end up costing the world billions of dollars for new software to update too it and it actuality work . And they have too figure it out before the year 2020 before they become a liability with these new laws passed in the 21st century So there is a deadline and Microsoft owns all business tell they find something to take windows place. No wonder other countries are trying to build there own O/S. Apple type updates , Ubuntu type Linux bash , Goggle type data harvesting and a universal platform for phones that lost them billions of dollars . If you could not install legacy apps on it it would not be windows at all even...It's just hanging on by a thread to be remotely anything like Windows and this started in Windows 8 ..That's the only thing that keeps me with Microsoft is great legacy apps that were made by someone else for there platform. If they was to jump ship to a different platform Id be the 1st out the door . Microsoft had this in mind when they made Windows 8 change windows a lot and then make a spin off release of it and sell it too the masses .Windows XP was a spin off of Windows 2000 ,Windows 7 was a spin off of Vista and Windows 10 is a spin off of Windows 8. They succeed in selling something they failed at selling by making a spin off. Windows 10 is is like that Johnny Cash song
