Batu69
Windows Insider head explains the release schedule Windows 10 Anniversary Update, also known as the first wave of Redstone, or Redstone 1, will go live on August 2 for PCs and mobile devices, but there’s one major important thing that everyone should have in mind when saving this date in their calendars. The rollout of Windows 10 Anniversary Update will take place in stages, so not everyone will receive the final build on August 2. Dona Sarkar, the head of the Windows Insider program, has explained in the latest edition of Windows Weekly (via Neowin) that Microsoft expects some users to be disappointed that they’re not getting the Anniversary Update on August 2, but everyone needs to know that the whole process takes place gradually around the world. Insiders to get the RTM in the coming weeks So while some devices will receive the Anniversary Update on August 2, others won’t, and the only option in this case is simply to wait. “It's going to take some time. We'll start with PC and phone, and it's going to be a global rollout. It's going to take time. Everyone's going to freak out wondering ‘where's my update?,’ ‘is it time yet?’ and ‘it didn't come.’ So it's going to take a little while to roll out to everybody,” Dona says. Insiders will be the first to receive the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, but for the moment, Microsoft hasn’t said anything about the final build version or the date when it will be released. What we know, however, is that we’re in the final development stages of the Anniversary Update, and if everything goes according to plan, RTM should be compiled in the next couple of weeks. Without a doubt, there will be users disappointed with the fact that the release of Windows 10 takes place in stages, but this kind of makes sense for Microsoft, given that more than 350 million devices are already running the operating system. The Anniversary Update will be released for PCs and mobile phones powered by Windows 10. Article source

D1v1n3D
Amen new iso with all updates certified from ms would be awesome i personally think they should create new Stable iso every month. For IT people who are fixing broken upgrades for customers.

luisam
Couldn't resist the temptation: I tested Windows 10 updating from Windows 7. And removed it too, after 2 days of "experimenting"; reinstalled dual boot XP / Win7. Had problems with 3 drivers: audio, USB 3.0 and Samsung monitor. By the way, felt the computer rather "slow". Windows 10 is not for old computers: I have an eight years old AMD Dual Core 4200+ 2.2 Ghz, originally built for Vista but I downgraded it to XP after a week of use. So, I'm not worried at all about not getting the "final" free release before release anniversary. Hope to use it on a computer BUILT FOR WINDOWS 10! You would be surprised at some of the old crap with just 1 GB of ram they updated too windows 10 . here is a interesting article about it if you care too read Windows 10: A tale of 10 upgrades http://www.zdnet.com/article/windows-10-a-tale-of-10-upgrades/ I can imagine it would be slow as molasses . I had a XP with 2 GB of ram , dual core i updated to windows 7 and anything that took a lot of process would not work good. you need at lest 4gb of ram to run Windows Vista thorough Windows 10 too be able too do much at all. My old vista machine has 4 cores 4 GB of ram it ran slow with Windows 10 on it ...It runs OK with windows 7, it's had Windows 7 on it since 2011. I just rolled it back so i can keep my old incompatible software on it, it may run better when ever i do a clean install in 2020 . I already have 2 pcs with windows 10 that runs good with it. On my gateway i had a few problem like you. did you try checking for updates via the device manger online for all you're components after installing windows 10 ? Also you could try Driver Easy after i updated my drivers i had no more issues with windows 10 on 2 of my pcs, the other one ill just keep windows 7 for a few more years.. PS: One more thing i done was install Quote WHQL version: 16.4.2Release Date: April 28th 2016Supports: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 1032-bit AMD Chipset Drivers Download64-bit AMD Chipset Drivers Download My other one is a Dell Mini Tower / Intel i had to do driver updates and firmware updates on it as well. BimBamSmash
Curious if the LTSB is going to see an update in this batch. I recall their road map mentioned an upgrade for this branch will be made available one year after initial launch, with all subsequent upgrades landing every three years or so from that point. But that's when they were also planning on rolling three upgrades a year. If the LTSB does make it to the list, I wonder what changes it introduces. The vast majority of facelifts in 1607 seem to concern features that don't apply to LTSB.
