Batu69
Redmond also provides workaround for one issue KB3163018 is the most recent cumulative update for Windows 10 released by Microsoft, but just like its predecessors, it’s impacted by several issues, some of which make it impossible to install on a number of PCs. In an update to the original KB page, Microsoft finally acknowledges part of the issues, explaining that it’s aware of the problems caused by KB3163018 on some Windows Server 2016 Technical Preview 4 machines. According to the company, “administrators can't install the Web Server (IIS) server role and the ASP.NET 4.6 role service at the same time,” and the easiest workaround is to install the update and then run the following commands in an elevated command prompt: dism /online /enable-feature /all /featurename:NetFx4Extended-ASPNET45 dism /online /enable-feature /all /featurename:IIS-NetFxExtensibility dism /online /enable-feature /all /featurename:IIS-ASPNET As you can see, Microsoft only acknowledges the bug for Windows Server, but most of the issues we’ve told you about earlier this week were impacting Windows 10 computers where either the Home or the Pro version was running. Reports of bugs keep coming In this case, the majority of users complained that KB3163018 failed to install successfully with an error message indicating that Windows 10 was undoing changes and reverting to the original settings. For other users, it’s even worse, as there’s no error message displayed, and installation just fails for no clear reason. “I do not get any error code at all my pc just sits there stuck on the restart displaying preparing windows updates. It sat like that all night I had to restart it with the reset button it pops up a notification stating could not complete the updates. Then goes through the whole thing again & again the update tool tells me that the update folder is corrupt and that it fixed the issues but you guessed it,” one user explained on Microsoft’s support forums. For the moment, it’s not yet clear if Microsoft is also aware of these issues and if the company is investigating these reports, so if you’re also experiencing difficulties with the update, removing it completely seems to be the only way to go. straycat19
I have never seen a more honest or correct subject, just leave off that last few words Microsoft Acknowledges Issues with Windows 10 Just more proof that Microsoft is not capable of validating their updates before they release them. As time goes on I am even more convinced that updates are a waste of time and that they do more harm than good. I still believe they should be honest and call Windows 10 Beta and the Anniversary edition coming next month (?) Release Candidate 1. At the rate they are going I might upgrade my system when they release Windows 126.
