Change.org petition seeks to have Microsoft investigated for 'malicious' Windows 10 upgrade practices

If you’re unhappy with the way Microsoft is forcing Windows 10 onto people who really don’t want it (including plenty of people who don’t even know what it is), then you’re not alone.

A new Change.org petition is seeking supporters in order to have the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) investigate Microsoft for "malicious practices regarding Windows 10".

 

According to the petition, which has been created by Todd Kleinpaste, "Microsoft's practices with their newest operating system, named Windows 10, has been ignorantly unethical at best and malicious at worst".

 

The petition, which complains that incidents "are increasing in their frequency", currently has 525 supporters and, inevitably, numerous comments from unhappy Windows users.

I dont read nothing at EFF  about it i read about this petition yesterday before it got on Betanews on another news site .  Why would the EFF waste there time with this  Windows 10 want be a free upgrade in 53 more days ?  Anyways if Windows 10 installed on your PC somewhere along the way you agreed to its EULA  if you dont agree  it want never complete install .

When I 1st turned on my Windows 8.1 DELL  I hooked the wifi up and it tried to auto update  to windows 10 all by its self I declined and didn't install   and I learned to not trun the internet on when  formatting windows wait tell its done and do updates .

 

Also you agree when you installed windows 7 or windows 8.1  or windows 10 they can push out what updates they want you agreed too it. They pushed out many botched updates before and there has never been nothing anyone can do .That's the bummer about closed source .  It was posted back  when windows 10 1st came out Canada was going to investigate windows 10 but they never have its illegal to force updates on you there  but its no law anywhere else saying they cant  Windows 10 is nothing but one big forced update one right after the other you cant decline any update longer than 1mth and who ever installs agrees to it .  They hired lawyers  to write all this stuff were you cant sue them   When you use Windows you dont own it  you have a legally binding contract with Microsoft . Its like this with anything copyrighted .  things you cant touch and feel has no real value because its not yours  unless the lic says its yours.

It's possible to make Microsoft  change but never no petition would work you would need proof that it upgraded you without  agreeing to the EULA  and like i read about it and this guy made a very good point if this was really happening YouTube would be full of videos showing it but it's not any proof that they didn't agree.    before when people did not buy there XBox they changed for the better . The only thing that can hurt Microsoft is people refuse to buy there products and as long Windows 10 is free its not really hurting them if you dont upgrade other than they lose some money on ads and if i installed windows 10 again i would block all that with a firewall anyways and remove all the  crap .  The only logic Microsoft knows is money most all of its stocks is owned by 10 different billionaires . If everyone went out and bought a Mac OSX  or switched to Linux then they would change but as long as they have 1.5 billion users on a flavor of windows they will keep doing as they want because the masses are dependent on them.
