Batu69
Just yesterday we reported on the fact that Samsung was telling its customers not to update to Windows 10. Today, Samsung is apologizing for that and is instead advising customers to visit the Samsung website for more detailed information on the Windows 10 upgrade. In an updated story published on TheRegister, (which originally reported on the Samsung situation,) a Samsung spokesperson notes that, “a customer service representative mistakingly provided incorrect information about Windows 10 upgrades for Samsung Notebooks.” The spokesperson also notes: Quote We would like to remind our customers that they can visit the Samsung website where there is detailed information on the Windows 10 upgrade applicability for each Samsung notebook model run by Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. So, with with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update just about a month away, this could be seen as better news for Samsung customers who would like to upgrade and get the latest features out of the Windows 10 operating system. vibranium
Quote We would like to remind our customers that they can visit the Samsung website where there is detailed information on the Windows 10 upgrade applicability Technically, nothing's changed. Just a PR move between Samsung and Microsoft.
vissha
I suggest that users should not go ahead with upgrade since this news may be to make look Windows 10 good and to gain trust among Samsung users. Samsung should've got some threat/pressure from MS to apologize. They should've made some deal like "let the users upgrade and if they get into issues, tell them it'll be resolved with patches in redstone". Or Samsung's list of applicable devices should be less and they're just telling users to go on wait until their model is compatible for the upgrade. Just to extend the time without trouble from MS. straycat19
Microsoft uses threats to bring computer makers in line with their marketing plan. If that isn't terrorism I don't know what is.

vissha
Windows 10 users will surely be in huge loss & trouble after the free upgrade ends completely. Well, most are aware that once Bill Gates mentioned, Windows is good to be killed. I think these are the ongoing and future of Windows 10 Users: Upgrading users are giving up on paid OS license to get free Windows 10. Already Windows 10 & Microsoft are in trouble for botched updates, blocking old features, blocking games, spying, tracking & stealing tactics. Once the upgrade offer ends completely, Microsoft will push Redstone or post updates with more telemetry and spying functionalities which can't be disabled easily using apps like O&O/GWX/...., just like ransomware without decryptor. When Windows 10 users feel the huge pressure, they don't have any choice in Windows as they had given up their old license, previous versions license won't be available anymore. The Hell is Here!!! Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1 users who have configured the updates and telemetry blocking would be much happier that they would've already moved to other better OS like Linux/Mac and living peacefully. Hence, Windows 10 Upgraded Users and those who are thinking of buying should think about these scenarios and get ready for the future.
