Batu69
While not exactly new information, we’ve received a tip from a user of Kaspersky. When inquiring about Kaspersky not working with Insider builds of Windows 10, the company responded that their policy of not supporting them isn’t new. Quote “Kaspersky has never supported beta builds or preview versions of any operating system and it’s very unlikely that this will change, as we cannot guarantee the stability of our product on such builds. As a result, the chances of our product supporting such builds in the future is to be honest extremely low. We absolutely respect your decision to continue using the Insider preview build and uninstall Kaspersky instead but in such a case there is not unfortunately anything further that we can do.” Kaspersky points out that because Insider builds aren’t stable that they won’t support them. A similar sentiment was said by Microsoft themselves in a forum post. On that forum they state that “You likely won’t see a fully supported version of Kaspersky until Redstone reaches general availability, which is in the second half of this year. That’s if you don’t like it, its best you stick with a fully supported stable build such as the Windows 10 November Update.” Our tipster points out that because of this, users on insider builds are only protected by Windows Defender and that they should be warned of this before jumping on the Insider program. While Microsoft is clear on the risks of an Insider build, one example is them saying “if you think ISO is a yoga move the program may not be for you,” some seem to think that side effects such as Kaspersky and similar programs not supporting insider builds should be made more clear. steven36
I dont use Kaspersky even though my mom does still and im just fine without it..Beta builds of Kaspersky botched my pc before when beta testing it causing me to have to reformat.and even stable builds didn't play friendly with some software causing BSODS... @Sternog said before that's the reason he switch to Avast he had the same problem and one my other tech friends advises against it, so really there the pot calling the Kettle black . .. I dont use the normal builds of windows 10 because they yet to release a stable build and even if they did i still wouldn't use it. because of privacy concerns. Russia Kaspersky's home base dont even trust it. http://www.networkworld.com/article/3033159/security/windows-10-calls-home-a-lot-russia-hikes-tech-tax-and-intends-to-switch-to-linux.html

steven36
Running a beta build of a web browser is not the same thing as running a beta build of and antivirus or windows i sometimes test beta builds of browsers the worse thing ever happens is it wont run then i just uninstall it. But every time I beta tested for these Antivirus companies something bad happens out the 3 i beta tested for before Kaspersky had the worse regressions . I guess if you beta test windows 10 you need to use windows defender . They could lose customers like this and some may decide to never use a 3rd party AV again . Holmes
I think kaspersky is one of the best antiviruses out there. If your going to beta test software dont do it on your main computer omfg. I think kaspersky is smart for not supporting beta builds because keeping up with all of the code changes wow talk about a pain in the ass. steven36
It just shows that alpha builds of windows are like installing major builds of new windows When Vista, Windows 7 , and Windows 8 came out , Kapersky has always had a time ever getting most software compatible with it before.. NOD32 never had much trouble with new builds of Windows tell Windows 10 came out now they dont even really support insider builds ether . I remember installing Kapersky on XP with some Antispyware apps and causing BSOD ,Even on windows 7 when my mom put Kaspersky on her system i had to uninstall Malwarebytes Anti Exploit because Firefox would not run with both installed . With NOD32 I run MAM , MAE and SAS real-time with no regression at all . I tested Kaspersky again briefly when i tested Windows 10 i switch back to Windows 8.1 and NOD32 soon after lol. pc71520
Given the instability of the Windows Insider builds, Kaspersky is right...
WAMVN
Kaspersky is right, why support an unstable version of everything when it can change anytime ?
