Batu69
VLC is a free and open source multimedia player that supports multiple audio and video formats. For about a month, the VLC media player has been teased to be releasing as an app for Universal Windows Platform. But May is halfway through and we still haven’t seen the public release of the application. VLC Windows Store developer, Thomas Nigro, tweeted today that he is a bit stressed concerning the VLC UWP release. He revealed that the VideoLAN team would like to release ‘something’ today and that after the initial release, the application will continue to get one update per week. @Sean_Michael_UK We'd like to release something today (today = in a few hours). Then, one update per week. — Thomas Nigro (@ThomasNigro) May 16, 2016 It wasn’t until later in the day that he clarified that while he did say that they wanted to release it today, he isn’t quite sure that will happen. According to a new tweet, some things are conspiring to cause a delay. @jaathre @msmobiles We have blocking bugs, like smooth streaming not working properly. — Thomas Nigro (@ThomasNigro) May 16, 2016 We do know for certain though that the application is planned for this month. It might not be today, but it will be soon and that’s enough for us at WinBeta to stay on top of the VLC UWP app status updates.
