I have Shark007 installed but haven't updated it in a long time and don't know if I really need it.  It is only on this one old computer.  I have no codec packs installed on any of the others.

MPC-HC only. It comes with LAV filters stable updated so no need to install separate codecs. And some games and programs use standard Windows codecs forcibly so I can not remove them with NTLite or WinReducer anyway so I'd rather not change the default system codecs to avoid problems.

I actually thought I was using a pack but then when I check I have not installed one on any of my machines since I did my last windows installations. So no and voted accordingly 🆗

I use Windows 10 Windows Media Player only and that is more than enough for me not to use another player. It is an old habit yes i use Kazaa Lite K regardless if I really need them or not.

My take as well

There's no need for codec packs for player mode, I just use PotPlayer, for me it's like an "aio" player, it supports almost everything....

I work a lot with audio and video files. So it is inevitable to install additional codecs. I also use "dBpoweramp". This program also installs a bunch of own codecs.
