Batu69
Concept imagines a light version of the Start menu Windows 10 Start menu concept with light theme Microsoft brought back the Start menu in Windows 10, but contrary to what people expected, it boasts some new “modern” features as well, including live tiles first introduced by Windows 8’s Start screen. Certainly, this is a helpful addition that provides us with certain information, such as the weather forecast, without the need to open the app themselves, but it’s also no secret that many of those who upgrade from Windows 7 would rather go for a simpler design. In addition to the live tiles, Microsoft also implemented a dark theme and a blur effect in Windows 10 in order to give users a bit more customization power. And while the dark theme is indeed looking great, there’s no light version available. A recent discussion on Reddit points to a concept that imagines what a light Start menu version would look like, not only the Start menu but also on the taskbar. While some refinements might still need to be made, it clearly looks very good on the desktop, especially the taskbar, which retains the blur effect introduced by Microsoft following user feedback. Possibly coming with Redstone For the moment, it’s hard to believe that such improvements could arrive before the summer, when Microsoft is expected to roll out the Redstone update for Windows 10. Redstone is the codename of the next major update for the new operating system, and everyone expects it to come with significant changes, including browser extensions and maybe improved UI and more customization features. Redstone is already part of the Windows Insider program, and users can try out some early builds, but major changes are yet to be included, as the company still focuses on improving performance and fixing bugs. But if Redstone does get such UI customization options, there’s no doubt that users can find Windows 10 more appealing, at least in terms of looks. Windows 7 the last O/S with a nice start menu , Windows 8x didn't have one so its a really good reason to install a 3rd party one. Windows 10 one of its selling points is they added start menu but people dont like it so they use 3rd party and i read it causes issues with windows updates even sometimes. Its like most selling points in windows 10 like EDGE etc most people dont like them . More or less people install Windows 10 for barging rights its not because they really offer anything some want.
