Batu69
Wireless networks working fine though, they claim The Get Windows 10 app displaying a possible hardware compatibility issue The upgrade from Windows 7 or 8.1 to Windows 10 was impacted by several significant app or hardware compatibility issues and in some cases, Microsoft even recommended users to delay the move for a little bit longer until all these problems were fixed. One of the hardware compatibility bugs that were experienced by a bigger number of users concerns the Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter, which was unable to work with Windows 10 and that, according to a prompt showing up before the upgrade, could block users from connecting to wireless networks. The message was first displayed in June, soon after Microsoft rolled out the Get Windows 10 app supposed to prepare PCs for the upgrade and to scan for compatibility issues. But the problem still persists today on PCs with such hardware, nearly six months after it was first discovered. Wireless networks working just fine While some users decided to delay the upgrade to Windows 10 because of the issues they might experience, others have already performed it and claim that everything's working fine and they can connect to wireless networks as usual. Others, however, claim that Bluetooth isn't working at all and without new drivers that could solve the problem, there's no chance to get it up and running anytime soon. Microsoft has more or less acknowledged the issue and provided users on its Community forums with a workaround, but as usual, it doesn't make any difference. And this only caused more frustration among users who want to upgrade to Windows 10 but cannot do it because of this error. “The helpful thing to do would be to find out if such drivers are available and, if so, supply a link to where they may be downloaded and, if not, get on to the Windows 10 development team to ensure people aren't going to unexpectedly lose their internet connections when their PC automatically upgrades. As it is, those of us with this issue are no better off than if MS support had chosen to simply ignore this query,” one user said. For the moment, no workaround is available, but in case you're getting the same error, you can actually upgrade to Windows 10, see if everything is working fine and in case it doesn't, downgrade using the built-in option anytime during the first 30 days. straycat19
The key phrase here is 'Windows 10 WILL work on this PC' (Capitalization is mine). The catch is they don't say WHEN it WILL work. We could all be dead before they get that piece of crap working. I have said many times it is beta software but after further experimentation and vulnerability testing I have to restate my evaluation and conclude it is ALPHA software that is not ready for beta testing. Installing Windows 10 on a PC is what we refer to as 'a self inflicted trick f*ck'. Quote you can actually upgrade to Windows 10, see if everything is working fine and in case it doesn't, downgrade using the built-in option anytime during the first 30 days. And totally screw your system up in the process. Why don't you just put a gun to your head and pull the trigger and put yourself out of your misery. I can't believe people actually make these stupid f*cking comments. They have to be talking out of their ass because their mouths would never say such things. Karlston
Typical Microsoft. Their single-minded mission is to get PC's upgraded to Windows 10. If applications or important things like networking don't work, that doesn't matter. They're bastards with a God-complex, pure and simple. We should be helping our less computer literate friends and family by warning them of the Windows 10 upgrade and telling them about (or installing with their permission) the GWX Control Panel. Help someone say NO to Microsoft today!
mikie
Girl half the way around the world I've helped her out with computer problems for maybe 10 years and steered her work and sort of mentored her into the digital age.. poor girl from philippines... really poverty poor originally when someone told her maybe I'd fix some computer she worked off of.. her bosses computer... .anyhow... She has bugged me for win10 upgrades on several of her toys since it first came out.. finally she had her boy friends computer.. win7 laptop with all kinds of CAD and Excel files.. some kind of mapping system odd to me but very large bytes. He travels the world and is over paid quite well for his family job & knows zero about computers. I tell the girl I'm not there to reinstall windows if it screws up.. uninstalled his google chrome and google maps.. uninstall his ESET and poked win updates. This laptop was full of adware and games too.. even several ASK things. Told her not to watch as it would be boring and if its not on the desktop in a couple hours to message me before she turns it off - she messaged me and thanked me 1hr 15 later. The main reason she wants so badly win10 everything is she keeps seeing all these tempting Microsoft advertisements and the computers get popups constantly. She will be totally bummed when she has a failure and needs to pay some computer shop guy to re-install windows for about $10 there. But win10 has gotten her mesmerized - she wants it on all her computers, she has an assortment of small, medium, large portables and desktops too. Very ambitious to earn very well in her country ( but needs every penny she earns so she can be flamboyant and for when that day comes when she looses her boyfriend who really pays her....she will again be poverty level and then can sell all her toys. Win10 persistent pushing you to upgrade,,, certainly is working.
