Batu69
Redmond promises “Faster Fast ring builds” The very first Windows 10 Redstone preview build is now available for download, but it doesn’t bring any big changes, so Microsoft’s more focused on improving it with the next releases. And according to the company itself, these next releases will arrive at a much faster pace than before, as the company is finally ready to speed up the rollout schedule and provide users with builds that are very similar to the ones internally tested by the Windows team. This isn’t the first time when Microsoft is planning to provide users with builds faster, but this time the company has also offered a deadline, so starting in January, insiders enrolled in the Fast ring should begin receiving more and more preview builds of Windows 10 Redstone. A double-edged sword And yet, this isn’t necessary a reason to celebrate because getting preview builds faster is a double-edged sword. You can indeed test new features and improvements faster than before, but at the same time, the possibility of coming across critical bugs is also bigger. And Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, also warns that those who don’t want to see too many bugs should switch to the slow ring before January. “The new criteria will be much closer to our criteria for flighting to our internal rings, which means more builds will pass it and be released externally to the Fast ring. This also means however that the builds we release to the Fast ring may include more bugs and other issues that could be slightly more painful for some people to live with. It’s a tradeoff – as the thing that throttles the rate of builds is the promotion criteria,” he said. According to people with knowledge of Microsoft’s plans, Windows 10 Redstone should be ready in the summer of 2016, so insiders getting preview builds will be very busy starting early next year. But it remains to be seen how fast Microsoft actually plans to update preview builds anyway. News source
steven36
Now there going start pushing out even more buggy windows 10 preview builds I wonder how many people will be gun hoe about testing these builds for free ? A company that has billions of dollars should pay people to test products for QC . Its not like everyone else can't get it free for now too. Even when they give it too you it don't belong too you. it belongs to Microsoft . If you change hardware after July 2016 you wont be able to reactivate it without buying or pirating it. So if you to want be legit you will end back on old windows anyway or pay . windows 10 and its invisible keys . HA . The best thing about redstone will be when it comes out final windows 10 will paid software and the hype will be gone and they will leave people alone who didn't upgrade . we just got live with it a bit longer folks and we will see will people put there money were there mouth is.
