New cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1511 rolls out (KB3116900)

Microsoft has just rolled out KB3116900, a new cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (November 2015 Update). Unfortunately, at the time of this post, Microsoft has not revealed a changelog, so we’re left fending on our own to see what’s new or fixed. Head over to Windows Update to snag this new update now! Let us know in the comments below if you notice any new improvements or problems.

 

The change log will be live on Microsoft’s Support site likely later today. We’ll update this post once details become available. This update will require a restart.

 

Microsoft rolled out a cumulative update for Windows 10 just last week (KB3116908) and the change log only mentions improvements to enhance the functionality of the operating system. Windows 10 Version 1511 updates are cumulative, so these updates will contain all previously-released fixes.

 

After installing this cumulative patch, the build number becomes 10586.29!

So much for windows 10 being  the most secure O/S  they ever was  windows 10 had the exact same issues as Windows 8.1 and Windows 7  but even more because it also carries  the EDGE  browser . :P

yea    people also used to think apple was secure too...at least they patch the  flaws steven.... and do not forget... some people out there spend every waking second looking for exploits ... this is not  such an end of the world issue really is it..... the way some people talk  one would think that as soon as yu turn windows 10 computers on the entire world has access to your life.... far from the case is it not

I agree  but they fix the same flaws in all windows  that is still supported not just windows 10  . Linux fixes   issues  as they arise trough updates and i don’t have to wait on patch tue  or have to worry that there going to turn my LTS release into a newer  Linux . I  have 2 of them one LTS  and the Newest  on the other drive . And I like LTS release best because newer is not always better . Every time I go on windows I’m inching to  turn my Linux  box back on .  Linux mint  seems so much more stable to me than windows does. Mosty all i do on windows  is update my software  and  windows updates and  leave it  on trough the night and turn  it off for a week  or weeks  it just depends on how I fell . Windows is a  lot of work  you spend more time updating it than using it  lol.

linux is now just starting to be attacked by exploiters... lets see how fast exploits get patched.my guess is not too swiftly.. and on the topic of linux   it is free and has hardly any one using it... why  ...because it just is too much of a bother to get it it to run and for having the stuff people want to run on it...forget it  is never going have ant mass popularity  because if you are not willing to spend a lot of time to get even the basics to work on it you will ever get all your windows premium software to run on it...if you say windows is a lot of work  and you spend all time getting updates what do you think about linux then..and be honest,,, i have a lot of cameras, lenses and photo  equipment...nothing i have on windows 10 will run on linux nor do care to even try and see how linux will translate to what i require for my photos and what i need a computer to do...why ..because every time i ever installed any version of linux there was no easy task to get it do even the most basic of things.without a crapload of configuring and searching how make it work..windows on the other hand...no matter what flavor i ever had... just simply worked... and not yet have i had any issues with win 10 that stopped me from doing what i what to do

Linux use to be difficult to use and a lot of people remember that, but modern versions are easier to install than windows, it IS more secure than windows, actually easier to use, and the software is free.  I use a lot of photo software (I have every Canon SLR made since 1967) and linux works fine.  There are always people trying to exploit the various operating systems.  Every once in a while there is an exploit written for the Mac but it is like 1 for every 1,000,000 written for windows.  In my entire lifetime, I saw one virus on a Mac and that was in a newspaper office.  It was a document virus that affected doc files and their AV software cleaned it but they didn't clean the Mac server and kept getting infected.  After they called me and I cleaned the server they never had another problem in the 16 years I supported them.  If you think windows is secure you probably believe banks are secure too.  Guess how many banks are robbed every day.  I have been around computers since I built my first one 47 years ago (I can truly say I have forgotten more than 99% of the people know) and have used every OS under the sun at one time or another.  I prefer Linux and OSX over Windows though 90% of my computers run Windows because all the support money is made supporting windows since it has so many gotchas.  Linux on the other hand has served in areas where Windows never would such as a standalone print server or a secure kiosk that allowed users to open a browser, login to their account, and when they logged out it automatically rebooted destroying all the previous data in the process.  Super secure.  I could go on and on but kids today don't want to take advice from us old farts who have already been there, done that and learned from our mistakes.

Would your LTS happen to be Linux Mint Debian edition?

Photoshop does not work on linux and try as you might the programs that make claims to be like Photoshop and run on linux are not even close to Photoshop...and still even the newest builds of linux that are far easier to install and run do not and never will appeal to the masses on windows or apple... yes android has its origins in linux bur it it ain't linux either 

 

 i lost my second computer(it died) the one i used to play around with linux builds... when i get around to replacing it i will tinker with linux again but most likley install a slimmed down win 10 build and dual boot with linux...bu still win 10 will be os of first choice

Wine says some versions  work I never tested it Also  there’s GiMP  witch is enough for me and its free lol . I don’t install  PS since years ago.

All you need to use Linux  is make a partition on you’re HHD  or you can use and extremal  HHD  its not like windows were it has to be installed on a internal HHD .

 

Linux  is not about numbers , Most people never even tired Linux  even so how do they know if they like are not ?  I never tired  Linux tell  about a year ago myself.

No I don’t use Debian  ,, All Linux Mint 17x rls  are LTS  tell 2019  . Linux Mint 18 I don’t think will be LTS ?  On my portable HHD I test different ones  Im now testing Xubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf  atm witch  don’t last  but tell   July 22, 2016.
