I still use a stripped Winamp Pro. No other audio program ever pleased me, so why use something else? Happy to see an update with removal of the stuff I never needed. So what it's been around a while? Windows/Linux/Mac are too, but people still use them when they get updated. It's all about preference. No need to make fun of what some people like.

Winamp 5.666-Dec 12-2013 is my sole mp3 player which beside DFX, makes THE ULTIMATE sound B)

One problem with it was that the plugins I wanted for it were made more than a decade ago and were not updated since. Which meant that they would either not install, work or break the player. It felt like the plugin makers had left it long time ago.

The other players are not bad, all sound as good as it.

What is the point to use such a player to play some audio files? What's wrong with Windows Media player/AIMP/PotPlayer/Media Player Classic .. etc...

Cause WinAmp whips the Lama's ass.

Nice, if people think Winamp is dead, I'll use this on Windows XP just to piss people off :)

I only stopped using Winamp recently on Android when Shoutcast started failing. That's when I switched to XiiaLive.

Still, no MilkDrop or anything.

I stop using Winamp since Windows 7 came out, looks like there are still many die-hard Winamp Fans

One of them is me. haha..

Some of us have been around on the net (myself 1992-1993) since the early nineties (90's) and some of us get all nostalgic.

It's an age thing.

WinAmp was good in the day.

I still have the latest Netscape installed the last edition.

Pointless as a browser now, but still........ :)

Last WinAmp is Winamp v5.70 Full Beta 3444, not very good.

Have been using Winamp right from sperm to resurrection — have yet to find any other music player which offers anywhere close to the features and delivery that Winamp has been offering (even in its recent state of hibernation.)

I'm still happily using Winamp and can't see myself changing soon. :D

If you install the latest 'Winamp v5.70 Full Beta 3444' when run says more than four (4) weeks out-of-date.

Directs you to the WinAmp web page.

I got v5.666.3516 currently running and works fine.

Some things just aren't meant to last forever...

Maybe, but it just doesnt count with winamp.

It is made to last forever, but, of course, you have right to not use it, so...
