Windows 10 users can modify the operating system's privacy settings manually, for instance by disabling express setup during installation or upgrade, or by exploring the Privacy section of the new Settings application.

While it gives them full control over each setting, it requires prior knowledge of these settings and time to make the changes.

Privacy tools help users in this regard but may limit the control these users have over what is happening in the background depending on how the tool works.

These tools are developing nicely - but for me are not quite there.

I do want to see Yes/Yes listed. Also a tool that you can turn the settings on or off when you like and a set restore point set as default.

I will agree that they aren't quite there, because they are incomplete in their blocking of the spying/telemetry.

I noticed the lack of better tool. It's called "Remove Windows 10 Spying Features" and was reported by me here.

As a side note I was wondering if something like keyscrambler would go a long way towards privacy.Would the encrypted jumble of typing protect us if we wanted?

Or should we embrace the data collection to help better serve us in our advertising needs and searches?
