I think we can rely on NordVPN.

I use a private VPN for most things but have paid accounts on Cyberghost, NordVPN, and ProtonVPN for other things.

Beta testing a wonderful VPN for a Developer who has not yet introduced the same to the General public - hence, the name of this VPN does not figure on the first post. ^_^

Are you talking about this one?

Lately Opera browser with inbuild VPN on, quite fast almost within my IPS internet limit.

Reason it is free and no limit no need to mess around with other  VPN provider medicine.

If I need system and other apps VPN then use Steganos Online Shield with one year giveaway.

Long time not look back Opera. I didn't notice or read changelog if it had built-in VPN. Good to know and trying Opera now...

EDIT : quiet fast as Chrome, I think. I like UI and also WA & Telegram sidebar

And again and again...

  1. Opera has only a proxy!!! Not even near any real VPN.
  2. Real VPN never needs any app, only the OpenVPN drivers.

I'm in a part of the world where there is Internet censorship and VPNs are blocked. I've tried a number of them, but they can't establish connections. I'd like to try one that allows a free non-credit card trial to ensure it works as expected before providing my details. Any leads anyone?

I have tested many of them, the best I found were PIA, NordVPN, and Cyberghost, as far as commercial VPNs.  But I use our organizations private VPN that is much better than any of these because it allows connections that are not available thru any of the commercial or free products.

Well i prefer use official Openvpn software and create user vpn on free vpn site for 1 month, generated by vps (digitalocean, amazon, vultr etc etc)

I see NordVPN has a 75% Off sale running for the next 9 hrs. You can get their program for USD $107.55 or  AUD $168.036 for 3 years.

The sale has a little snippett at the bottom (see attachment) if that is actually True, it is too good an offer to pass up IMO.

I cast my vote for F-Secure Freedome VPN.  It has a simple interface and fast in operation.
