However the news seems to be fake with users claiming that the app has already been launched and many say that they have even used it. WhatsApp Plus was supposed to have 700 new themes and more number of emoticons compared to the existing one. It was also expected to have file sharing service which is currently not there in the existing WhatsApp. WhatsApp brings in new app version, WhatsApp PlusReports say that this app is not genuine is an effort by unauthorised websites to trick people. The new version could also be a malware that can trouble your phone. Reports about the new app also said that it would be a better messaging app with great feel and techniques to personalize it.We will advise readers to not download this app or any other app that claims to be WhatsApp Plus.It has been verified that WhatsApp hasn’t used any such app and by using any app that claims to be WhatsApp Plus you would be laying your privacy at stake. Next morning, I found my android off and could not start it in no way.I went to Service and they told me that my Sony is dead for good. Nobody could tell me why. Of course it's not developed by whatsapp official but rafalense who molded the original whatsapp to add few features like hiding ur own online status way back when this feature wasn't even existed in original app. Themes and other stuff was also added. He made the mistake by asking money from people for that and original whatsapp sent a notice to xda to take that down so now that is gone from xda but on google+ it's still going on. The real WhatsApp has end-to-end encryption.WhatsApp partnered with Open Whisper Systems, a collaborative open source project to offer end-to-end encryption in its Android client.When you use a clone your taking a risk with it they may have not made the app as good as the real source is . Why would you want to risk it ? its a security risk . He used WhatsApp name without there permission . And people from warez sites and other shady sites have pushed it off on to the vulnerable public as the Next Official WhatsApp Release witch is not the truth . If you are unaware, WhatsApp Plus is basically a third party app that has all the same features as WhatsApp, but has a cleaner design, different themes and a slew of other features available as well. It does still use WhatsApp’s servers, which is why they can see who is using WhatsApp Plus. It is against WhatsApp ToS to use WhatsApp Plus, which is why I stopped using it a while ago. And now it looks like WhatsApp is temporarily banning users that are using WhatsApp Plus.It looks like the first users to see this ban go into effect were in India, at least those were the ones that first reported it. It seems to have started at 12:00am IST on January 21st. Remember Indian Standard Time or IST, is about 10 hours and 30 minutes ahead of Eastern Standard Time. So this just started within the last hour or so. Users have also reported that uninstalling WhatsApp Plus and installing WhatsApp hasn’t lifted the ban. The temporary ban seems to be for about 24 hours. Which isn’t too bad. It’s better than being banned forever, but it still sucks.We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears open to see if we hear more about what’s going on here. It seems a bit odd, but maybe WhatsApp’s parent company Facebook, is beginning to crack down on these third-party apps. Although, if WhatsApp would actually update their design once in a while, maybe WhatsApp Plus wouldn’t be so popular everywhere? WhatsApp is a very popular messaging service, and in developing countries, especially ones like India, it’s extremely popular. So getting temporarily banned is actually a really big deal.
