Recommended Posts

Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds, resume and schedule downloads. Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use. Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance.

Thanks to rkkdjb for the update.

Well they need something its called a working patch to make it .. I just simply install overtop and enjoy while you wait for them to compile a cracked installer.

what's wrong with you? always spamming the new app update threads with your useless posts? :wtf:

FYI, users can download the Latest Browser Helper add on directly from developer homepage by visiting this link:--

https://data.internetdownloadmanager.com/idmmzcc/idmmzcc.xpi

To make it work with the latest release only .rdf file needs to be updated which can be downloaded from the following link itself ;)

https://data.internetdownloadmanager.com/idmmzcc/update.rdf

Source : IDM

Guide :--

  1. Download .xpi file and rename it to .zip.
  2. Do not extract .zip archive, but double click it.
  3. Double click install.rdf file and open it in Notepad.
  4. Modify to match your browser version.
  5. Choose Save as and select all files so it saves it as install.rdf.
  6. Now double click .zip archive again, Drag and drop install.rdf file top of the .zip file.
  7. Select replace.
  8. Rename .zip back to .xpi.
  9. Install ;)

P.S. : Now please don't post your lame excuses that users with IP block method cant download from the developer homepage, well, in that case, it's the incompetency of your so called fix rather than the user. ;)

i use Medicine on FrontPage & it shows Fake Serial Number

While I was using patches & faced that problem I used to solve it by the following Registry change - -

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DownloadManager]

"CheckUpdtVM"="0"

@Ksh!tij,/ others

When I try the above method to make idmcc compatible for nightly 35.0a1 it says the xpi is corrupt so can't be installed.

What am I doing wrong?

rename xpi to zip, in the zip change the max version of firefox to 35 in the file install.rdf save it, rename it to xpi.

Any corrections/suggestions please!!

Too hack & install.rdf is a very easy task.
1. Download *.xpi you require.
2. rename it to *.zip
3. extract install.rdf (it is one key operation).
4. open install.rdf with a text editor (e.g. notepad is good enough).
5. find <em:maxVersion> and change value as needed, e.g. 35.0a1.*
6. if you have the extension already installed, you have to change it as well, otherwise firefox rejects to install, as it already has that version... (e.g. 7.3.87 -> 7.3.87b).
7. Choose Save as and select all files so it saves it as install.rdf and not install.rdf.txt.
8. Now double click .zip archive again, but now remove META-INF folder.
9. copy the modified install.rdf back to the *.zip (or repack).
10. rename the *.zip back to *.xpi
11. install and enjoy.

You can also directly download from the developer homepage.
