mods are detected server side back to version of two years ago, for now you can block ads, through AdGuard or other methods...

Using a cheap Amazon tablet, with a modded ROM, is for now a very good crash and destroy alternative, until time will come.

This move will only hurts them anyway, because the usability of the smartphone version is pretty sh**, sooner or later they will fail...

About xposed, they are all old modules, seems the SpotySh** take care of all, doing a long work of research before launch this massive antipiracy offensive, something, that will have unexpected consequences? :o

two solution for spotify android

1. no need root

uninstall mod version, reboot

than install 6.0 riu mod version spotify

in the app create new account

2. need root and xposed

install xPrivacyLUA and activate

uninstall moded spotify and reboot

install latest moded spotify don't start yet

block spotify in xPrivacyLUA

login to spotify

That script is the AdGuard injection which seems to be visible on Undertaker's Firefox due to a different implementation that he was using. ;)

That is how AdGuard handles the cosmetic filtering of generalised ad leftovers/or elements.

It also helps those filter rules, which require to modify the HTML content before presenting it to the end user.

It's not the THOR's land

If you use uMatrix and block the script, you'll notice that cosmetic filtering would have stopped working.

Therefore, it's required to allow the script from local.adguard.com < The localhost injection method.

You can also do away with uMatrix if you are familiar with the filtering syntax. It's problematic atm(still usable), but it will be fixed in the later part of the year with corelibs integrated version.

Not only that if you use stealth mode, the contents of the HTML are modified through this script.

If you want you can check it out by pressing f12 > network tab > refresh page, scroll to 'local.adguard.com' entry > right click > open in new tab to view it's content.

My instructions are for firefox

On my own AdGuard implementation, on rare occasions — the following entry is spotted:—

wss://local.adguard.com/adguard-ws-api/api

If that's a custom User rule, would be worth making it future-compliant by changing it to:—

/ads/v*/*

If that's a rule from one (or more) of the Subscription Lists, then no worries — the developer of the List would keep it updated.

In order to prevent a potentially unsafe redirect and to also enjoy a slightly faster loading, Users of Firefox can regain their trailing slash, a useful feature which Mozilla withdrew (while imitating Chrome) by changing the following about:config entry from True to False:—

("browser.urlbar.trimURLs", false);

Another benefit of the above feature is that it makes the http/https (protocol) on the URL Bar visible once again — this serves as an additional visual aid for Users to distinguish whether the site uses a secure (https) protocol or not.
