for thousands of years...

The good news remains that humans don't eat each other even though

human cannibalism has appeared on our planet before...

One set of sad, real world food problems arose in Vietnam Many years ago

as mountain people were eating rats which had ingested anti-rat poison and

also sadly, engendered effected peoples health and well being...

Look I would never eat dog etc but what on earth are you talking about?? We do exactly the same with other animals they don't choose to eat. The ONLY reason why you are "disgusted" is that in our part of world dogs/cats are domesticated and not seen as food. If there is nothing wrong in your eyes with what you're doing then there is nothing wrong with what they're doing.

Like I said, don't use your own moral stick to measure others. Even if dogs are not bred for food where you're from, it doesn't mean has to be the same in China.

And do u really think it matters to the animals if they are killed humanely or not? Do u think they'll be thankful that u killed them "humanely"?

Having compassion for something or someone or not probably has to do with culture and education. For cultures where dogs or cats are established as farm animals or simply as pets protected from a shitload of laws that forbid simply "eating" them or killing them for the sake of celebration or being able to get them in the public like a regular restaurant.

There are regions in China where eating dogs is common and there are even more regions where the public has serious concerns regarding the origin, sorts and harmlessness (because there are no controls or laws that regulate that) and where dogs and cats are accepted as farm animals and pets and not as food source.

I wouldn't see a problem accepting dogs as food source in different cultures but when you see how they spent their life, they die as POS, not as a animal or human being that dies with a smile on the face or had a good life, they die after a long life of pain. If there would be standards like inspected breeding with hygienic standards, controls and monitoring, strict laws and serious punishments, people wouldn't see the need to get shit like that forbidden and wouldn't be too disgusted and that's no one's fault but the governments.

There u go again, making judgements without knowing shit. You think because we exchanged a few comments u know me well enough to judge me? :uhuh:

I have my own moral compass. It dictates (among others) that I do not abuse animals or humans, physically or mentally. I live by it. But I don't expect others to do the same. But I don't judge them either. Doesn't mean I am heartless or lack compassion, as u are so quick to label me as.

Things like right and wrong are subjective. It differs from society to society. It's those who can't accept these differences and are absolutely certain of where they stand that makes this world be in such a "Sh*t state". Just because something goes against your world view, it doesn't mean it's wrong (or right).

If it offenses u so much, why don't u try to change them instead of throwing around words like "disgusting" and judging them from your high horse.
