There have been a number of leaks, including official-looking images but some details were still veiled. Popular source of rumors @evleaks posted info on the HTC A5, a 5.5" phablet with BoomSound speakers and a 13MP camera, which sounds just like what we know about the Desire 8. HTC A5: MSM8928 (1.6GHz x4), 5.5" 720p SuperLCD2, 1.5GB/8GB (+microSD), 13MP/5MP, Sense 6.0, BoomSound, black/white/red/yellow/purple. — @evleaks (@evleaks) February 20, 2014 At 5.5" the 720p screen resolution will result in 267ppi pixel density. The chipset is a Snapdragon 400 with four Cortex-A7 cores at 1.7GHz and Adreno 305 GPU. This chipset is gaining popularity recently and powers Sony's Xperia T2 Ultra and Huawei's Ascend Mate2 4G. The HTC Desire 8 packs great camera specs for a mid-ranger though we still have nothing on video capture (the chipset is capable of 1080p though and it'd be strange if a 13MP camera isn't).The Desire 8 is expected on February 24, probably at the MWC.
