Your Uninstaller for me... I tried many but Your Uninstaller seems to do the things it promises, like how it rids all traces of it.

I use Your Uninstaller 2006, it's fairly new, hence the version.

It doesn't have an Installation Monitor has far as I know, but it's pretty nifty, I personally like Your Uninstaller! more than any other Uninstallation application out there.

Although, Advanced Uninstaller has more features and is more robust and efficient, Your Uninstaller! 2006 is more better for more overall.

Oxygenuk, show me where "Add/ Remove Programs" allows you to monitor where a file/ registry key is placed.

Add/Remove is crap. it leaves loads of regestry keys, sometimes 80 or more. and also some files.

besides, when you uninstall with an uninstall software like the ones listed, you dont have to reboot your computer because the program will remove the rest for you

Your Uninstaller! 2006 has got to be the best option.

Your Uninstaller! 2006 here as well

Tried to search for it but couldn't find it.

Anyway is there any difference between using Windows to uninstall and then jv16 powertools to remove any remnant reg entries.

i use total uninstall, coz of the monitoring ability. the apps that dont have that just dont seem mature enough, imo.

Your Uninstaller 2006!. ALways removes everything, no linger reg keys or folders. DOes the job. ANd yes it monitors newly installed programs. Just open up Your Uninstaller and the new programs that have been installed since the last time you opened Your Uninstaller are highlighted in red.

I use several methods. I try using the Add/Remove Programs method first...Or look in the Program folder for it.. Then I can use the one inside of WinASO, SpyBot Search and Destroy ( two things related to un-installs and invalid links to installers also use Windows Install Cleanup for the last part as well when needed ), Last but not least is the method of using Eraser to shred.. ( all connected directories and files.. )and then run a WinASO Registry Cleaner and Registry Defrag.. because I am usually cleaning up a bunch of stuff when I do...usually a good idea when doing a Program cleanup anyway....

I have had better luck with more recent programs..older programs seem to have more issues.. maybe its because I am better on my maintenance on a system.. going on several years now as well.. but really don't usually have a problem when un-installing.. I have rarely had to use anything but just un-installing.. I do however look for folders and files that can be left behind..This on occasion does happen.. But easily resolved .. I usually do it before I do my regular maintenance..or after un-installing something..
