geeteam
Once again Apple has managed to top the world’s most valuable brand for the third straight year in a row and according to Forbes it is now worth almost twice as much as any other brand. The Fruit Company is now valued at a whopping $104.3 billion, which is a 20% increase over last year, putting it way in front of the likes of Microsoft, Samsung and even Google. This is of course all thanks to the continued success of the iPhone and iPad, along with services like iTunes. In case you missed Apple’s last earnings call it went on to sell 33.8 million iPhones, 14.1 million iPads, 3.5 million iPods and 4.6 million Macs. 40 billion songs have also been sold on iTune since the softwares launch in 2004. Following Apple was Microsoft with a brand worth of $56.7 billion, which is $47.6 less than Apple’s. The Redmond company has struggled to move up in value over the years with its failure to really make a bang in the mobile market. In third came Coca-Cola, with a brand value of $54.9 billion and its the only brand that isn’t a technology company in the top 5. The company sold a phenomenal 13.5 billion cases of Coke in 2012, up 3 percent from a year earlier thanks to international growth. It’s also the first brand to have reached 50 million “likes” on Facebook. Check out the full standings here Source: ijailbreak
