Java Runtime Environment 7 Update 45

Recommended Posts

The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) provides the libraries, the Java Virtual Machine, and other components to run applets and applications written in the Java programming language. In addition, two key deployment technologies are part of the JRE: Java Plug-in, which enables applets to run in popular browsers; and Java Web Start, which deploys standalone applications over a network. Users should install the 32-bit version if they are using 32-bit browsers. If you use both 32-bit and 64-bit browser interchangeably, you need a Java Plug-in for each browser. Hence you will need to install both 32-bit and 64-bit Java respectively.

this version of java firefox is blokking this update

Java Plugin 7 update 45 (click-to-play), Windows is geblokkeerd voor uw bescherming.

I don't want it to be ''block for my protection''.

I want to make that decision myself.

I'm using FF 24 and 25 and I have JRE 7.45, but Java plugin isn't on the plugin list. It wasn't there either when I still had 7.40. How so? And how to get the plugin there?

If you are on 64-bit OS, you might have installed the 64-bit version. Firefox and almost all the browsers are 32-bit. Hence, you need to install the 32-bit version. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Java can be installed together if required.
