Thanks for the update. Is anybody having a problem with the download or is just me? (I'm getting NSIS error when it checks installer integrity)

With a new audio core, hardware decoding and encoding, port to mobile platforms, preparation for Ultra-HD video and a special care to support more formats, 2.1 is a major upgrade for VLC.

Rincewind has a new rendering pipeline for audio, with better effiency, volume and device management, to improve VLC audio support.

It supports many new devices inputs, formats, metadata and improves most of the current ones, preparing for the next-gen codecs.

Rincewind fixes around a thousand bugs, in more than 7000 commits from 140 volunteers.

we can increase Volume to 125% (previous was 200%) 32bit

Same version here, and I can still hit 200%. Did you opt to delete prefs upon installation? Sometimes not doing that can cause weirdness.

If I set the preferences to "Always reset audio start level to 2%" it always starts at 100%

Could some other guy check if he has the same behaviour?

Talking about Volume... I can hit only 125%

don't use that option simply down the volume and close VLC, next time it will start at same % of volume
