Since I have divided Rooting Desire S and Instaling custome ROM in 3 PartsIf you Have missed previous 2 Here are links :How To Unlock Your HTC Desire S With HBoot Version 2.0.002 Installing EXT4 Recovery On HTC Desire SToday I am going to show you How to Install Cyanogenmod 10 On HTC Desire SFirst you need to download following files :Cyanogenmod 10 Custom ROM with Jelly Bean 4.1 Click here to Download Google Apps that is Google Play store Click Here To Download Reboot your Desire S.This time select recovery option from bootloader menu.Select wipe | formatwipe data/factory reset (this may take a while) then select wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache. Go to main menu of EXT4 Recovery and select ”install from sdcard” (this will show all content from your memory card ) now select file you have downloaded above “cm-10-20121116-EXPERIMENTAL-saga-NK111.zip” and After that select file “gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip” which is nothing but Google Play store file(this file needed because Google play store do not come with custom ROM). Now restart your phone and enter into bootloader mode and select Fast Boot. Go to your computer start command prompt. Copy Paste This Code :cd c:\android [press enter]fastboot flash boot boot.img [press enter] After all this steps are done restart your phone normally. Tweety.Abd Posted June 9, 2013 Share Posted June 9, 2013 First this is an experimental build and second its unofficial and third, its pretty old and likely to be very unstable..If anyone desires to run CyanogenMod on HTC Desire S, they can download official nightlies from here. dykhatri Posted June 9, 2013 Author Share Posted June 9, 2013 Tweety.Abd I agreed this is not an official ROM it is still in progressive stage.I myself have rooted and installed CyanogenMod on Desire s and I am using CyanogenMod 10 on my HTC Desire S for last 2months .It is working perfectly all right all the things are working correctly not a single issue I have got till the date.
