nsane.forums
Downloadify, a new Chrome extension published just a few hours ago enables users to download MP3 files from the Spotify web player.Users who install the extension have the option to download any song on Spotify web player by double-clicking on a track.Upon publishing the extension still appears to work, but it’s highly doubtful that it will stay online for long. Last year Google cracked down on many YouTube rippers because of terms of service violations.Tweakers notes that Spotify currently reports “issues with its website” on Twitter but it’s unclear whether this is related.Ripping music from music sites and services is nothing new of course, but this is the first time we’ve seen such a straightforward option for Spotify. Bhanche
Internet Download Manager can catch the MP3's. Just go to Options -> General Settings -> Customize keys to prevent or.. -> enable "Check for left mouse button clicked on a link.." Then press and hold "Insert"-button when double-clicking the songs to play on the spotify website.

Plenty of them freely available on the net. Near perfect quality. Records ABSOLUTELY anything & everything that plays on your audio card without exception :)Cheers & happy downloading

calguyhunk
Well, the screenshot was taken yesterday evening. Tried again just now, and you're right, they've encrypted the streams :(To the best of my knowledge, some download managers do allow for certain forms of encrypted content to be downloaded. Dunno what kind of encryption is at work on Spotify :dunno:In any case, a streaming media recorder will do the job just fine with little or no lossage for all practical real world purposes
