shought
ive just installed 669 with marsu 2.5... and i get this virus signature database could not be updated....any clue anyone? restarted few times alreadyIsn't it up to date already... I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I thought I was experiencing the exact same problem after my installation, it told me 'Virus signature database could not be updated', but it already was. jofre
:welcome: -TO ALL- :dunno: !!! NodEnalbler 2.1 is working fine on my WinXP (32bits) - Automatic Updates everyday .Supposing one decides to uninstall NodEnabler. How to do it :-NodEnabler 2.1 is a script meaning it runs a given set of variables and therefore all one would have to do is remove the script to remove NodEnabler . NodEnablers Script is located, in "C:\Program Files\ESET\nodenable.exe" so if you delete that you will be all set. However if your key/license gets blacklisted and you have uninstalled the script then you will be unable to sucessfully update . Instead i suggest disabling its auto-start feature by going to START--> RUN--> TYPE IN 'MSCONFIG' (WITHOUT THE QUOTES) GO TO STARTUP TAB--> AND UNCHECK NOD ENABLE. That way it wont give you those annoying pop-ups every restart and will give you the choice of whether or not to run the script manually by you, ( and when the given license runs out/gets blacklisted is when all you would simply need to do is force a start on NodEnable 2.1 ( click on icon on desktop) and "voilà."-------------------------------------------CheersJofre------------------------------------------PS:- You dont know from where you may download NodEnabler2.1 . Go to =ESET Ultimate Topic- Page 7,post 133= and remember : it only works on OS 32bits.

Lacius
Hey, I'm having problems with NodLogin. Just did a fresh install of NOD32 Antivirus 3.0.669.0, installed NodLogin, let it insert a license, and then updated it. However, after it updated, it said my license was valid until November but also said I had a trial version with 0 days remaining. It also seems to be connecting to trail servers every time I try to update (it is set on Choose Automatically right now, and I don't get updates). Any info would be appreciated. Can you see the upgrade to full version in the protection status. If 'Upgrade to full version' is there, just click it and wait.It should update to retail. It says it failed.Just going from memory here but I would recommend completely uninstalling your ESET installation with a program called "Your Uninstaller" available in the applications section of this site. (Your Uninstaller first runs the programs regular uninstaller but after that it removes most, if not all, left over junk that the regular installer leaves behind and clears out any leftover registry entries too.) Also manually delete nodlogin and any registry entries relating to Ulissoft (not sure about the spelling) which is the author of Nodlogin and unistall or remove any other ESET fixes you might have installed in the past. Then I would download the program (ESET) again from a link in the app section of this site, reboot, and install ESET again from the file you just downloaded. Reboot again (just to be on the safe side) and install Nodlogin 9.6 again. Make sure you are installing v. 9.6 of Nodlogin. Run nodlogin.exe and after all that, hopefully it will start to update properly for you.If it works, then it would probably also be a good idea to schedule nodlogin.exe to run at a timed interval of your choosing (e.g., every 24 hours) in the ESET scheduler.Jmo. But make sure you don't get a pre-cracked version. Delete the Eset folder in registry and Program Files, you can try Registry Crawler to find all the redundant registries files. elbebo
I Installed ESS 3.0669 about a month ago and apparently I used Marsu-Fix 2.6. I could have sworn I downloaded it from one of marsupilami's posts but the current version still seems to be 2.5. Well regardless the version 2.6 did not work for me. It updated fine but the days continued to count down from 30 so now I get that my license will expire in 7 days. I've never had a problem with any previous marsu-fixes so I'll try to use marsu-fix 2.5 and see if that works better with 3.0669.

harpua
One cool use for that license looting or grabbing utility that was made available on this site some time ago is that you can use it to quickly obtain a username and pw which you can then use to download any of the available latest versions of EAV direct from ESET (or one of their authorized resellers), without having to wait for it to be made available elsewhere. It was kind of nice to be able to install a verified official copy of the latest version so quickly even before it was made available through the front page of this site (although as usual, the staff here did a great job getting it up and linked very quickly).
