Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds, resume and schedule downloads. Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use. Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance.

@ SacredCultivator.

If you're passing by, our neat little trick makes it 7.3.19

@RocketMan: *high fives* thanks for looking out. ^_^

That did the trick and just wondering for each time there is a Build UPdate, does the Extension get updated as well or is that part random?

The extension update is random. When the update is available, however, I've often found that the overwriting sometimes fails to happen even if Firefox is not running - this is an overlooked bug.

I generally remove the extension before installing a new version of IDM, just to be sure (our trick never fails to work, though.) :)

I'm missing something here.

What's the problem with the official link in the official site?

Why using these mirrors?

this is a retail setup, what you get from the site is a trial setup..

But it has the same size and the same file details and signature.

And anyway we are using a crack / patch.

The retail is full from the begining?

Shoud I redownload?

You know what - I'm redownloading and checking for myself.

EDIT:

OK - now I'm really confused.

Are there any differences?

Should I really reinstall and try with the retail one?

Dear Need4steer,

You misunderstood something!!!

Retail setup "usually" useful for people who prefer only SERIAL and HOSTS file solutions.

Of course you can patch the trial version as well and you get the program with EXACTLY the SAME FUNCTIONALITY!

But you know some of "us" likes the clear=no cracks (only serial) solution to use a program.

And as far as I know only the retail setup can be truly activated by only a working serial!

And NO OFFENSE but if you compare a file you have to see the full size in BYTES and not in MB!

idman611.exe

4.34 MB

but exactly 4 560 976 bytes

CRC32: 2DF65B31

MD5: 376ED5407FDF641BDEA134A673B5DFDE

SHA-1: 571CA0DAC94BEBE9E98C434F7F53AEB81A571B99

idman v6.11 Build 7 Final Retail.exe

4.34 MB

but exactly 4 560 928 bytes

CRC32: 734E01C9

MD5: 6551CDA8C75D88BAE00B77CD7F59149E

SHA-1: C825201AB30E9937236E7B5D2FC2C0F4E5829BE8

SO THEY ARE NOT THE SAME!

But THE REAL DIFFERENCE IS INSIDE the setup, where you can see the real size of the main executable IDMan.exe.

AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO REINSTALL it because you already have the same functionality with the patched trial version!!!

@sandoz: Thanks a lot for your detailed explanation!.

And you're so right about the full size of the files and their checksum values.

I should've done so myself.

But just to be clear - if I have a retail serial, and I put it in IDM that was installed from a trial version that was download from their site, won't the result be just the same as using the serial within the retail setup?
