But I thought we were talking about AV and whether an online product is better than using an application like avast! and if so, what are the advantages? But I thought we were talking about AV and whether an online product is better than using an application like avast! and if so, what are the advantages?An online product is good if you want to check if you AV might has been infected, but you should use an stand alone AV with on access protection. At the moment Comodo has launched their online version of the AV, for you to scan with. For my previous posts about CAVS3 I meant their standalone ("offline") AV with on access protection, which is to be released soon, however the online scanner is based on the engine that this AV will use when it is release. As you use Comodo's firewall you could just use the build in on-demand scanner (which also happens to be based on the CAVS3 engine :think: ), to scan in CFP go to defense+ tab, and choose "scan my system" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
