The best thing for these companies to do is to fight fire with fire.  They all need to stick together and form a coalition or an organization.  If the MPAA and RIAA can lobby congress why can't they do the same? Money is the game and if you want to win, you have to be willing to shell some of it out.  Look at what Silicon Valley just did. Google, Facebook, and countless of others lobby as well. They know that if they want to have influence in Washington, they would have to shell out the cash.  Yes, US politicians are corrupt.  They need to set up their lobbying firm in Washington just like others have.

there are plenty of ways to keep sharing .

> Use some good paid VPNs with a friendly and a safe customer anonymity policy .

I think it will probably take a while for the sand to settle. But I think these cyber lockers will not disappear.

The pirate bay is switching to magnet links, so maybe we will see more and more sites adapt that trend?

i was looking up the stuff tso i understand it better. one site said this

It is worth noting that BitTorrent can not ditch the .torrent format entirely and rely solely on Magnet links. The .torrent files hold crucial information that is needed to start the downloading process, and this information has to be available in the swarm.

if they still going to have to have some kind of torrent file then whats the point? anyone got more information on this stuff?

on newsgroups. they are iindanger too. theyhave already went after newzbin. most likely will go after newsleecher makers and giganews. what will happen afterwards is a ban on usa users. thats what the evil cancerous socialist elilist in the usa want. they will be in control of media.

I don't think :pirate: will fall...at least not in my lifetime. Magnets are used just so the webs don't host the .torrent files. Instead, it's downloaded from the swarm. At least that's how I understand it.
