Nsane.down app for android?

Hello together,

I do not know if it is difficult to make, but how about to make an app for android market, or are there some problems because we would not fit in their specific policies...

I mean: we are sometimes offering "specific" material and i think they would "approve" the app before offering this in android market...

However someone on nsane could make an apk file to install, we would download directly from nsane. The app itself would offer for example direct access to the forums, a "live feed" of our releases etc...

How about idea? What do you think?

I think this is a great idea. No idea how easy or difficult this would be, but I would def. use it!

@Olexijl: You mean this?

I don't think there's anything bigger than this available.

I tried to install it but I can't press the Install button on the permissions screen. Did you set it to a specific locality?

I'll look for the icon ;)

Edit: I believe Lite has the transparent PNGs for the frontpage logo, PM sent :)

You have to allow apps, which come not from market. Go to preferences/apps and change the value there.

I know ;)

Doesn't help.

Well. If this does not help, what's your phone? And from where do you have it?

I simply used http://www.appsgeyser.com/ to create app.

Nothing special.

I tested it on my Galaxy S2 - work well.

@shought: did you root your desire s? If yes, download and install app "ROOT Explorer". Transfer the apk to your device into the folders named /system/app or /data/app

Seems your phone is not compatible or something wrong.

Root Explorer apk:

I shouldn't have to root my phone in order to install the app, should I?

I'd like to avoid rooting it until I have it at least a year or so... Void warranty etc.

(I'm not afraid of the process, I know it's harmless (most of the time).)

Works fine on my SGS2.

Need to be loading the mobile version of the forums though ;)

Edit: Also try to load the "Collapsed" version of the FP.

I'll dig up the logo and send you a PM ;)

Well, if we would have some professional coder for this.... It would be interesting. But i am not such a coder, so i used a simple website to create an app. If someone of you knows java, you're welcome.

Android applications are written in the Java programming language. The Android SDK tools compile the code — along with any data and resource files — into an Android package, an archive file with an .apk suffix. All the code in a single .apk file is considered to be one application and is the file that Android-powered devices use to install the application.

Happy New Year!!!

I think the "app" idea is terrific!

I am not able to download the app to my desktop.

Is there another link? I do most all of my work to my phone from my desktop.

I have installers, I just need the apk.

Well, you can always return to its original condition! Root is really necessary for a lot of things! And my phone is in warranty, but I was rooting! :D
