Nima
When debuting next year, Windows 8 is expected to arrive with various multimedia capabilities as well, all tailored for the specific needs of owners of tablet PCs.One of them would be a music player, a new application that has been designed in the already known Metro-style.Built specifically for devices that sport touchscreens, the music player will come with a touch interface, in line with the entire Windows 8 OS.The app will be completely different from the Windows Media Player that users can enjoy at the moment in the various flavors of Windows available on desktop PCs at the moment. The screenshots attached to this article (available courtesy of winunleaked.tk) show an appealing player that includes shell integration, split view, and full view.A tile will be placed on the Metro menu for fast access, and all that users will have to do will be to tap on it to enjoy the clear yet simple interface that Microsoft has packed the player with.As the screenshots suggest, the application will also come with support for album and songs pinning, and will also provide users with the option to buy music.Since this app has been designed mainly for devices on which Windows 8 will run with the Metro UI enabled, there will also be a version aimed at Windows 8 desktops, that’s for sure. The leaked screenshots follow only one day after a series of new images with the Windows Store for Windows 8 emerged on the web, and shortly after leaked shots of some of the latest Windows 8 Builds surfaced. Most probably, we’ll be able to learn some more info on what various apps for the new platform release are all about when the Redmond-based software giant makes the Beta version available for the public in February next year.See the photos here. Snowdrop
@niharijhatnDon't worry, Steam is rumoured to be getting a native client on Linux, soon you will be able to game on it... at least on games that are available on Steam.Hopefully Windows 8 won't look as plain as these screenshots makes it look. Otherwise, it'd better have a lot of customization options or I'm gonna stick with 7 >.>
