*dcs18
Even when not using MBAM (or any other security program,) I prefer to keep Defender uninstalled.
Administrator DKT27 Posted February 12, 2010 Administrator Share Posted February 12, 2010 I remember. When Windows Defender came out, I was really excited about it. Read a guide and cracked it myself to install on my non-genuine XP at the age of about 12. :oAnd I really regret doing that. -_-
implague
dont forget to unintsall windows defender if u want to use MBAM Why ? This is not mandatory... (Even if I don't use it) ++no its not mandatory but that windows defender sh*t needs to update frequently still not able to clear or find spywares well the good thing is this is running in background in win7 not like vista it takes huge amount of process still uninstallin or keeping the win defender is likewise

This is not mandatory... (Even if I don't use it) ++Windows Defender uses real-time scanning and I find my system running faster when the damn Defender thingy is completely uninstalled (not just left disabled.) :D

bair
Setup to dualboot with Win7 and Gentoo Linux. My linux partition has fallen into disuse. I would use it more often but the apps I use are stuck on windows. I have tried wine and vmware to run those apps but it's just not worth the stability and overhead issues.Previously was dualboot with Vista and Linux then upgraded Vista to Win7 . Was surprised how relatively painless it was.
