I am on Vista here. Even my laptop (MSI Wind) runs it fine in stock. You *do* have to tweak Vista a lot more then XP (<3), but when you are past that part I love the stability XP lacks so much (for me that is). On my main machine I am running Vista64, which I love, and it is reaaly fast (more due to my pc ^^). Then the best function Vista offers me that really makes me go crazy in XP is the start-menu search. Amen to that.

What exactly do you mean by lack of stability? Crashes? :)

XP sp2 too, and im glad it will be available longer. Vista is just like ME, a transition OS.

Why not sp3? :)

I let them fix ther stuff before installing. No problem with SP2 > a 6 month old SP3. I test progz in beta but no OS.

I see, you take the word beta very serious. :D

I watched Apples keynote this week... found it entertaining that the #4 reason they say Leopard is doing so good is "Vista". lol

I don't know about XP-SP3 but XP-64 sucks big time.

I had XP64 installed before switching to Vista64. The ATI driver was crashing my XP so I had to switch to Vista w/ SP1. Now I am so so so glad that I did. My PC is super fast. Booting is significantly faster. I take back all the bad things I said about Vista.

Whether you use XP or Vista, check you the link below.

Ya ur rite XP-64 really has some serious bugs in it as my m/c use to gimme blue screens many times also vista is pretty much stable than it and according to me vista is pretty much good for the latest h/w and xp still rocks on the old machines.

I am XP right now but I have Vista and 7 as well.. I ever get a big enough hard drive I need to go with XP and 7..but then I want to find a way to do Snow Leopard and.. Mandriva or the most powerful.. highest rated Linux version.. I get confused right there on Linux..going to all be in the number of drives..and hardware..not too sure about the Boot Loader for that though..:lmao:
