Have some patience please guys. Server problems at nsane are virtually non-existent, so its a shock to us when we encounter them.

The current problem is being worked on and should be resolved soon. I'll update when i have more information. Being half way across the world makes problems more difficult to fix/ diagnose.

IMO , shut it off completely until it's fixed , running it crippled is not a solution.

PM's working for a minute then not working for the rest of the day or longer is a pain , view new content as well.

I know this isn't related to the "server too busy" error everybody had been getting but my problem is that on every forum page i open the black "user" dialog box is pulled down automatically (see attached image). this has started happening today only. dunno how to fix this. admins/staff?

closed ff, ran ccleaner, reopened ff, still there. in ff, did a "clear recent history", still there. switched browser (to chrome), still there

It is not 'pulled down automatically', it is 'not yet hidden'. There's probably still some scripts loading in the background and this might actually be caused by the server being busy ;)

Don't worry, this will be resolved once the server is fixed.

ah good. reassuring news :D (i didn't actually know how to phrase the issue correctly, tried the best that would explain the problem in the least possible words :D)
