Polgaso
Wednesday Zotac International announced the release of its palm-sized ZBOX nano AD10 series mini-PCs. The company isn't kidding around with its "palm-sized" description: these devices can literally sit on your hand like a boxy-yet-portable CD player. But don't let the miniature size fool you: the ZBOX nano AD10 series – currently consisting of two models – packs a mighty punch for its size. Under the hood, both models sport AMD's dual-core E-350 APU clocked at 1.6 GHz, and AMD's Radeon HD 6310 GPU clocked at 500 MHz. Other hardware specs include two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports, an eSata port, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, AMD UVD technology, gigabit Ethernet, on-board 802.11n connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 6-in-1 card reader (SD/SDHC/MS/MS Pro/ xD/MMC). There's also a VESA 75/100 mount for monitor or wall installations. As previously stated, Zotac's new mini-PCs arrives in two tasty flavors: the standard "barebones" model and the "plus" model. Measuring just 5 x 5 x 1.77-inches, the standard model features an empty 204-pin SO-DIMM slot supporting up to 4 GB of DDR3-1066 memory, and space for the installation of a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD (connecting via an SATA 6 Gb/s interface). The difference with the "Plus" model is that it comes with 2 GB of RAM and 320 GB of HDD storage already installed."The ZOTAC ZBOX nano AD10 series is our smallest mini-PC", said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International. "Despite the miniature size, the ZBOX nano AD10 series has nearly all the same features as our award-winning ZBOX and ZBOX Blu-ray series, and even introduces a couple new features."Currently Zotac shows that the "Plus" model retails for $275.99 – the price for the "Barebones" version isn't available, so stay tuned.
