Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. And even though the calls are free, they are really excellent quality. If you and your friends, family or business contacts are using webcams, you can also make free video calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap per minute rates (and there's no setup or subscription fee).

Thanks to thylacine for the update.

The latest distributable is 5.5.0.114.

5.5.32.113? Do you use MSI? Then you can probably get 5.5.32.114...

Thanks for the share! :) (Back to XP now, from tonight and happy with the choice, :P)

I use the EXE version -- the MSI version requires you to uninstall the previous version before upgrading, which soon becomes annoying. EXE's allow upgrades.

For those hating the Skype Home popup, which is still in this version, please pour your venom into both these places. They've already received a massive number of comments, but the more the merrier. Yes, there are hacks to workaround it, but the "feature" has to go.
