i used the app during the "happy" days of vista when it became regular 1s a week it crashes. :fear: that i have to reinstall. i used this app to avoid the hassle of starting from nothing. it's good but since it has been a long time and this version is new lets see. i was lucky i got it activated using the guide. :)

Gah...I wish Core, ZWTiSO or DVTiSO would jump on this bad boy some time soon. Scene groups have pretty much ignored Acronis stuff since they've always only needed a reg key. Starting to wonder if they even know that 2012 needs keygend/cracked. :unsure:

i certainly hope someone is working on this. :rolleyes: it worked for a while/ eventually "resolve issue" too many activations still popped up.

Installation procedure

The installation procedure is straightforward. Please, run the downloaded executable file and follow the instructions.

List of issues fixed since the previous build (6868)

* Comments for backup slices are displayed incorrectly.

* Acronis True Image Home 2011 crashes when deleting a slice after a backup operation completion.

* User cannot select to back up only the desktop folder: other folders of the same level in the folder tree are selected automatically.

This one must be a real pain to keygen or patch....still nothing from the scene. Main thing I'm interested in is the GUI changes and the calendar style logs and history notes being brought back.

I may take a shot at one of the previous posts...not only will I disconnect net during install but will also deny it access thru my firewall before it even has a chance to phone home. It may require editing the hosts file to keep it from getting net access...just not sure what all urls would be needed to block it...with the hosts file used wildcards...lol

Apparently, there is now a hotfix 3 for TIH 2011 build 6868 which after it is applied changes the build number to 6879. The hotfix can be found on the Acronis site (list of TIH downloads) by looking up Acronis TIH build 6868 and clicking on the "hotfix" link.

Well, you have 30 days after the installation to activate the serials on the Internet (obviously not possible, since they're already activated and cannot be deactivated only by entering a legit Acronis account). So it's like using a trial. I'm still with 2011. Looking at how the activation for the 2012 version is thought, you can realise how the cloud is changing everything. I'm 100% sure more and more apps will choose such activation schemes, and no scene groups wants to mess with these. I have a feeling that in 5 yrs we'll be using almost only free apps and a select few that decided to use piracy as advertising...

1. DISCONNECTED INTERNET

and install the program.

2. USE ONE SERIAL, previously found ...

3. UNCHECK "Enable the product automatically (Internet connection required)"

4. Launch the application at the end of the installation.

5. Top right in the main window, click on the blue question mark, then in the dropdown "Activate".

6. Wait for the activation of the product (SHOULD NOT BE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET)

then choose "ACTIVATE FROM ANOTHER COMPUTER."

7. Internet Connect to the PC (AND NOT BEFORE THIS STEP 7),

then go to this page:

8. Copy / paste your installation code obtained in the window of Acronis True Image Home 2012

and then click on "Get activation code"

and click on "Continue"

11. Press "Further", Check the 2 boxes

«I agree to deactivate the product on the selected computer»

I wasn't referring to your activation method, I didn't try it yet. I was only speaking about the 3 serials posted by x-sobe-x.

We don't post methods on the frontpage, only fully-fledged fixes that are proven to work. You could post a new topic (How to Activate Acronis True Image 2012) in Guides&Tutorials, you already have the text, add some images and make it look pro, and I promise I'll try it myself and if it works, I'll link to your thread on the frontpage and also give you credit. From what I read your method is working pretty good, the only issue are the updates, as we don't really know if they'll work, but that's common nowadays. We've been spoiled by ATI 2011 where you enter a serial and check for updates as usual and it works just fine...
