I really don't know what they want to do with these rapid releases, I see no major change from 4.0 Beta 1 until 7.0 Beta 1 :D

But, anyway installed 7 and memory usage did not change a lot, from 400M to 170M, but I can see some performance improvements, like starting faster.

And if I don't get wrong, I see they have hid protocols in address bar (http, https, ftp, ...). ^_^

@toyo: I do not have add-ons problem, do you? :D

I don't use their Betas... The only purpose Firefox was installed in my system was to check if web pages looked OK on it, but now I keep FF just to to get annoyed by it and test its speed :)

They wanted2 be on the same version as IE and I doubt they stick with this years plan for long. One version every 2 months isn't that often at all, especially if you look at what they have fixed or added. Version 9 testing hasn't yet started on 64bit Win builds ( systems not ready for making 64bit builds fast and reliable yet ) so I'm hoping they manage to kick some browsers when they manage to fix it and release to public. There's a forum Mozillazine if you find a issue or annoyance, usually people mess around too much in advanced settings and add bad extensions.

So you betrayed Mozilla and sided with foes? :D

Yea I read about it yesterday. There's a new about:config tweak added for this, forgot what was it, Google if you want to fix it. :)

Toyo never used Firefox, toyo loves Opera. :D

Lets not forget, it's Google who started all this fast release mess. :P

But nah, I personally love rapid release updates. Gives me fast updates. Also, forget Jetpack addons, Mozilla is already working on fixing the addon compatibility problems in Firefox 9. ^_^

Just as DKT said: I've never, ever "sided" with Mozilla. I've been a proud Opera user for so many years now, I forgot their number :P Before that I used Netscape Navigator.

still using firefox 3.6 here, none of my addons work with 5 or above. and people will get fed up with mozilla if they keep changing the version, cause no one will know where they stand, in two weeks will probably see version 8 beta out.

it would be better if they just stick with the low numbers and FIX the problems they currently have. with the 4 different versions they currently have, 3.6.20, 4.0, 5, 6 and now 7
