Kavu Posted December 28, 2007 Share Posted December 28, 2007 my friend recently had to format cause of a virus and now has a vertical blue line on the monitor, they have a geforce 7600 and a neovo lcd monitor. we have tried installing several older and newer gfx drivers and wondering if its the gfx card going bad cause on games the frame rate has gone down alot from what it was befor Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JunkInternetMail Posted December 29, 2007 Share Posted December 29, 2007 Try removing the card and putting it back into proper place.Hard to accurately diagnose over the net but if the frame rate is in the basement and there are unexplained artifacts, the card MIGHT be dying.However, there are also LCD monitor testing apps. Artifact are not really good sign, maybe the videocard have hard time breathing, try cleaning up under the hood. Did you friend tried beta or third party drivers? Warranty?
