<img src="http://www.nsanedown.com/images/logos/uTor.png" class="logo" alt="uTorrent" title="uTorrent" />uTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. With uTorrent, you can download files faster and contribute by sharing files and bandwidth. Additionally, uTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange.

Thanks to <span style="color: red;">sternog</span> for the update.

<b>Note:</b> The 25515/25516 builds are not available any more, the latest official release being 25460 for now. The Frontpage listing was updated to reflect this.

Try downloading again - using a download manager like ReGet. Edit: sometimes it gives version 3.0.0.25515 :frusty:

No promo, just installs the crap and there's no way to avoid, you have to uninstall it later. I am seriously considering another client from now on, and uTorrent just made its way to my hated apps list.

When I said promo, I meant ads - just included ads have been updated and no real code improvements

I thought you meant the usual "Watch this crap movie we support, for FREE" stuff :frusty:

"Note: This application stealthily installs the Conduit Engine and uTorrent Toolbar. There is no option to avoid this during the setup process."

nothing installed here! i have downloaded the installer form utorrent.com

Very peculiar. I installed it twice and both times it did install the adware.

It seems the 25515/6 version was pulled from their servers and replaced with the old 25460 version?!?

i'm still getting 25516. but it's intermittent. i get 25460 too.

guess the binary is being propagated across servers.

Unistalled Utorrent completely.

Reboot.

Install.

Now 25515 here. No toolbars or anything.

It's possible they made a mistake, I redownloaded 25460 and the adware is avoidable. I can't download 25515-516 for now, so they might be replacing those with proper setups?

This new uTorrent version really stinks! I recently upgraded to this v3.0 a couple of weeks ago and it has given me awful lot of problems ever since. The Disk I/O bug hasn't been fixed yet especially if the piece size is greater than 2 MB..tinkering with Advance/Disk Cache option helps temporarily but the problem still persist every now and then. I tried reading their support forum and its littered with the same problem as I have (..now I know the code work is the culprit). Add to that the frequent high cpu usage when you're downloading big files with 4-8 MB piece sizes (..and my rig is just 18 months old, sheesh!).

Solution: Due to my disgust, I reverted back to v2.2.1.25302 and no hiccups for 5 straight days now. Never had any problems before I made the v3.0 upgrade..shame on me!

Lesson: Never jump to all this hoopla just because its a new version. Wait until they release v3.01 or 3.xx whatever..let them sort out the bugs first before you plunge back in. I sure learned my lesson pretty well this time around.. -_-

P.S. I'm beginning to wonder whether the toolbars & other insertions are the root cause of my problems..just a thought. Nah! v2.2.1.25302 is a keeper for now.. B)

Can somebody give me 25460 via filehoster? Mediafire or something?

The new version caused a problem with dsl tests.

PS: solved. Have now.

@Labradoodle: Did you uninstall v2.x and then try v3.0?

Well. The most reliable is 3.0.25460. It has no bugs with dsl testing configuration.

@DKT27 Yeah! Tried it twice actually. I even tried disabling the automatic write cache for my HDD to no avail. Only remedy is tweaking the Advanced/Disk Cache option but after a couple of days its back to accumulating finished pieces and not writing it on the disk. Its a coding bug from the looks of it 'cause everything's back to normal with v2.2.1.25302 at the helm. ^_^

People something is fishy first i had downloaded the setup from thier orignal site and it first showed showed a malware warning and second time the setup isnt working for me(not even now) so i have downloaded the setup from softpedia.

link here http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/uTorrent-Download-27295.html

Choose softpedia secure download links not external links.

The setup from softpedia is virus free plus it doesnt install any toolbar silently
