Codec is short for Compressor-Decompressor. Codecs are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files. With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play all the popular movie formats and even some rare formats.

No doubt , I've recently started using Norton, actually I don't need AV at all, but I like their firewall and that's why I'm using it.

Guess I'll turn the AV off, this was the first time I've seen it in action, no FP's so far.

Don't know exactly how their AV works, but this file gets auto-deleted as soon as it's written on the disk, so it's a signature of some kind, not some heuristics upon the execution.

Have no idea what WS.Reputation.1 means.

Previous two K-Lite updates were fine (no AV interventions).

Just tried it now once more , and it went fine, they probably fixed the FP in the meantime, yesterday it was still flagged.
