Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use. Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance.

There is a really strange thing going on with IDM. I was trying to download 3GB iso and IDM said that I don't have enough space on C:\ for temp files. I checked my C:\ drive and there was 5 GB available. I was like, what the hell? Then I made more room and there is now 6,4 GB free but IDM still reports the error. I had to change temp folder in IDM to a HDD that has 30GB free.

Cheers ;)

Odd. But the only thing I can think of is, 3GB for temp + 3GB for the real space it's specified to download to. That means it would actually need 6GB free space.

Or of course, it could be a bug. :P

Maybe your C drive is FAT 32

Real space is on other drive, which has 30gb free, on which I was forced to change temp directory. I'll see to contact IDM support and see if this is a bug.

Of course it's not. Windows 7 does not allow it for primary partition, and even if it is, max size of single file for fat32 is 4gb.

this happened in earlier versions.

i've forgotten which method i used to "fix" it, but u can try both :)

1) Empty the Windows temp folder.

2) Empty IDM's temp folder (in Win7, it's at C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Roaming\IDM\)

I've tried the Retail setup in the past and I wouldn't go for it, the serial gets blacklisted at a point... Best to go for the patch & keygen, IMHO. I always do for example, never let me down, :) (But I guess that's just a matter of choice...)

Thanks for the update, jalaffa. Can't live without it... :D

Confirm that keygen & patch from SND still works on this version.

Strange thing, i tried to download OpenOffice 3.3.0 with JRE inside, the Tab "Options on Completion" do not show me the path for saving.

The same is for german...

Do not believe me? Go to http://www.openoffice.org/ and see yourself.

Don't you think that IDM has a lot of bugs recently. I mean v6.07 series is like a Beta testing! Even v6.06 or v6.05 was more stable and was working better!

Well, you're right, i think. I even downloaded IDM v6.06 back: Oldversions.com (IDM v6.06 trial)

Since then, i have my old "Downoad Progress" dialog back, perhaps some bugs more, but no bugs with paths.

Marik:

Is it possible for you to contact IDM about this? They redesigned this f... "Download Progress" dialog just now, and made it more buggy with tabs, not showing paths in some rare cases. I downloaded everything, and got correct path on "Options on completion", but wanna download OpenOffice? Then no path available...

The german translation is not correct too.

Shows it fine here.

Cheers ;)

Well, thanks. This is a modified configuration however. Please note, you modified the path for downloads, i did not change anything.

So in the default configuration... like

C:\Users\Olexijl\Downloads\Programs
you will have problems.
