in windows xp (sorry for my old os) you can backup the temporary database of kaspersky from this folder

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP12\Data\Updater

and replace them after installing new one, then goes to online update to finish it....

so i won't take so long for first time update process of kaspersky

or you can make your own kaspersky update offline by using kaspersky updater tools

http://support.kaspersky.com/updater?level=2

read the knowledge base for the details,
