Useless anyway; who wants an OS with such a huge footprint and no proper software for it? I wouldn't install it even if I got it for free ...

However, it appears that the antipiracy mechanism couldn’t be removed in time for the RC1 release, so pirates will have to wait until RC2 to get their Windows Vista Free Edition.

Let it be known: Microsoft has developed the ULTIMATE Solution in Piracy Prevention. Create a product in which, anyone who is knowledgeable enough to choose a competitors superior product does so, because these people fit the same demographic profile as Pirates, thus leaving your market saturated with a captive audience to force your bloated mis-engineered product upon.

+1 ! and I can not stress any more the point of n00b peeps that are getting it for visual appearance ;) there are plently of nice add ons to make it look nice (I've got on mine apple like at the momment)
