i use 7z and winrar. if 7z ever gets a better sfx setup like winrar then i would probably just stick with 7z.

I have winrar and winzip installed.

But I use principally winrar to password protect my files because his ability of "Encrypt file names" :o

7-zip because its free,simple, and it works. I used to use winrar but would run into occasional issues when the compressed files had long file names. I also suggest one uses the 7-Zip Theme Manager because the default look is ugly.

I used 7zip cause it's a freeware and great too. But sometimes i used WinRAR unplugged version to repair some of my compressed files. :D

mainly 7-zip, but combine it with winrar, to have best result :dance2:

7-Zip and WinRAR, works for me. Sometimes 7-Zip can't cope with every .rar file, otherwise there would be no reason for the latter.

Oh, and PeaZip to deal with these formats on Linux...

:D
