jalaffa
Process Lasso improves system performance, responsiveness, and stability during high loads through dynamic adjustments to process priority classes. It can also automatically terminate undesired processes, apply default priorities and CPU affinities to processes, limit the number of instances a process can have, and log all processes. It is not a task manager replacement, but does have task manager like capabilities to compliment its primary functions. Process Lasso runs on all editions of Windows 2000, XP, 2003, 2008, Vista, and Windows 7.Thanks to sternog for the update.Download

GreenMan
I've been using this for a while and I'm not sure that I notice a performance increase. I just can't tell :) Does anyone think that this improves performance for PCs with 4 or 8 gigs of RAM?
sternog
It rather improves system stability/responsiveness than performance. Edit: slient update of 5.0.0.35 x86 spotted:Process Lasso - 5.0.0.35 - Built on 7/8/2011 at 3:14:43 PMEngine version: 101600 - Jul 8 2011 15:14:09 GMT-
