Mozilla officially released Firefox 5 to all desktop platforms windows, Mac and Linux. Along with the desktop version it also released Firefox 5 for Android devices.

This update for Firefox web browser brings ‘Do Not Track’ feature for Android, this feature is already available in to desktop users in earlier releases.

According to Mozilla, Firefox for Android includes the Do Not Track privacy feature in this release, making Firefox the first browser to support Do Not Track on multiple platforms.

Mozilla created Do Not Track to give users more control over the way their browsing behavior is tracked and used on the Web.With this new feature users can tell websites that they wish to opt-out of online behavioral tracking, is now easier to find in Firefox Preferences.

  • Improved page load speed, especially on 3G networks, and improved overall panning responsiveness

Its a good browser on PC but its way too slow on Android compared to the built in browser or Dolphin or Opera Mobile 11. :(

Agreed. I've had it on my phone since the beta release. It's gotten better with subsequent versions, but not yet ready for prime time. The sync feature is nice, though, I have access to all my desktop bookmarks.

I'd also like to see a way to import bookmarks from other mobile browsers like the desktop.

Firefox on Android is hella slow, i used for 2 days and never used the app again. I'll wait till they increase performance until then im using Opera.
