Hi guys

I have a problem with my connection;

It connects to Internet_"verifying and registering your computer" come up and are Ok_ but I still see a yellow alert sign on the connection icon and in fact I don't have any connection!

can't see any site or update my Internet Security and etc..

when I used "Troubleshoot problems" It told me you have problem with your DNS;

(that's already set on "Obtain DNS server address automatically")

what's the best/fastest DNS address to use for TCP/IPv4 ??

(preferred & alternate)

Is DNS exactly my problem or something else has effect on it ?

I've ADSL connection;

Thank you

Try these:

OpenDNS:

208.67.222.222

208.67.220.220

GoogleDNS:

8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4

Go to Network and Sharing Center... Click on your adapter if yo see it listed and then details.. Take a screen shot and post it here.. if in fact the 'DNS' problem is not your actual outside DNS server but is your router ( IPv4 DNS Server which is also supposed to be your DHCP Server as well, or can be... ) 192.168.1.? or 10.0.0.? then you may have to do some configuring as to where you obtain your IP from.. and what device holds the main IP and even DHCP Allocation.. one thing can effect the other some other stuff may have to happen is what I am saying.. You may still configure your router t use the DNS Servers of choice, noted above as well...

I got away from using my isp's dns servers (comcast) once when I had an issue. Someone suggested that I try OpenDNS and I haven't looked back since...no problem, no downtime, and no hassle, OpenDNS ftw. ^_^
