Ambrocious Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 For any of you who have ever tried out Mielophone, you will probably already know that it is one of the simplest and maybe the best music streaming and downloading tool that is versatile with Windows, Linux AND Mac. After the demise of Mielophone's official website, many people were under the impression that the program ceased to function but this is FAR from the truth (see demonstration on how to make it work HERE). It in fact continues to work the same way it had since it's creation; never seeming to disappoint friends and family alike with it's ease of use and quality.The original authors of Mielophone have hung up their hats in the continuation of any new music apps for the foreseeable future due to legal threats but that has not stopped another group of people from moving onward with the music liberation movement. A separate group of programmers are currently working on a new version of Mielophone that will have more functions and look more appealing to the eye as well. If anyone is interested in looking into this new version, feel free to check it out and become an ALPHA tester whenever it becomes available if you like. It needs to catch the attention of the uploading mods before they will add it to the front page listings. When I say catch attention, I mean they need to test it out so they can see for themselves. But I agree...it would be nice to see there for download on the front page. The fully working version FOUND HERE should be what is listed front page, not the ALPHA version of course. This program works great for Classic Rock and Progressive Rock (More than p2p did) and the bitrates are 192K and better. Get this app if your a true serious music lover and also send a copy to a second e-mail address you may have for safe keeping so you can share this with your trustworthy friends. In the settings if you put the source to api.vk.com or z-music.ru you can get the same results as having a VK.com account (api.vk.com has the most sources in comparison to z-music.ru FYI) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
